Wednesday 2nd July 2014

We had a good walk around Alrewas last night and reminded ourselves how pretty it is, and obviously rather wealthy judging by the parked cars. We left about 10.30am after filling with water and Graham completing his chores!

Getting through the locks at Fradley was straight forward and then it was a left turn past the swing bridge and into the Coventry canal.

It is 2 years since we were last down here so we commented on the development of new houses, how pretty some of the canal gardens are and how a new marina 'Kings Orchard' is now complete and open for business.
After mooring for a while to watch some of the Andy Murray game (not a good result) we continued to Hopwas and although it had clouded over we managed the first BBQ of the year before visiting 'The Tame Otter' - purely to see if it has changed in 2 years!
