Sunshine all day. Truly wonderful weather. We moved from our mooring, filled with water and sailed round the junction and through 2 locks to pick up Chris and Alan who had parked nearby. a bird had obviously walked across the roof of the boat during the night. ( Jon, this is one for you to identify!)

It was a great help to have help through the next 5 locks. These large double locks can be very heavy!

We visited a very good canal shop packed with canal memorabilia beside lock 2. Luckily we cannot carry too much on the boat and so could avoid the temptation to buy!
