London Bound 1st July 2014

The first day of the 2014 adventure. Our plans are to head down the Grand Union Canal to London, hopefully travel up the Thames through London, watch Nigel and Jess in a triathlon, travel up the Thames through Windsor and Maidenhead to Reading and then cruise up the Oxford Canal and back to Mercia Marina.

The bow thruster has been fixed, the sun was shining and so it was time to depart. We left the Marina at 10.15 and found the canal to be quite quiet as we travelled past Burton upon Trent to Alrewas. This was to be our stop for the evening. We have just bought a new camera so photos may be plentiful or scarce depending upon whether I have learnt how to use the various features!
