Monday 7th July 2014

We had no more rain overnight and there was no 'banging' of the boat on our moorings which we thought there might be. We were off about 8.15am and cruised to Rugby.

On the way we passed a work boat for the Canal and River Trust actually doing some work! It was moving wood and usually the work boats seem to be tied up in isolated places not doing much.

It was difficult to find a mooring at Rugby but we are tucked in by Bridge 59 and walked into town this afternoon. First stop was the William Webb Ellis Museum to read all about making Rugby Balls and how the game has developed over the years. The shape was definitely much more round when it started,

The Statue is outside the school.

The shopping centre seemed to be thriving and the tortoise never did catch the hare in the clock.

One thing we did find in a park was the rest of the 3 piece suite! There must have been a surplus of concrete in this part of the country.
