Thursday 14th August.

Chris and Alan left for home and Chris and Tim arrived for their stay. We left mid morning and they enjoyed seeing their town from the river. Marlow did look lovely.

The Compleat Angler is opposite the lovely church.

We celebrated Fiona's 18th birthday here.

By the time we reached Henley the rain was coming down so we moored for lunch next to the Rewind Festival site. The temporary tents/small sheds provided a talking point. The festival is this weekend so hope the rain stops.

These barges have the most unusual 'flippers' I must try to find out why they are shaped like this.

And so to Henley town. I don't think that we broke any records for speeding down the rowing course.

Mooring was at Sonning where Tim thinks he may have spotted Uri Geller emerging from a walled garden with a lot of CCTV on a mast. You can moor here and the fee goes to charity so Mr. Geller said. A drink in the very pretty Bull pub and a walk back to the boat in the rain.
