Saturday 2nd August

We returned to the boat on Friday afternoon and Graham checked the weed hatch to clear out the rubbish. We have been lucky this trip as, apart from the journeys through London, we haven't picked up much. This time it was mainly weeds.

After filling with water we set off back to Bulls Bridge. I think that this lighthouse is a long way from the sea!

Not sure that we would pick this name for a boat.

We passed Three Bridges where the canal crosses a railway at the same time as a road crosses the canal. Difficult to capture in a photograph.

We shared the locks of the Hanwell flight which speeded up our passage and there were also some volunteers helping to work the locks. This is the view looking back up.

We then moored near bridge 205a and walked through Hanwell to find the Boston Manor tube station for our trip to the Triathlon tomorrow. On the way back to the boat, we walked along the canal towpath and picked some excellent blackberries to have for dessert!
