Monday 11th August

We left for Maidenhead and were intrigued to see how a trip boat owned by French Bros held itself in the channel whilst waiting for Boveney Lock. All the other queuing boats were held on the pontoon.

We passed Oakley Court used in lots of Horror Movies.

Soon we arrived in Maidenhead and are moored just downstream of Brunel's impressive 'Sounding Arch' We must have travelled over this railway bridge many times on trips to London and never realised that was beneath us.

Supper and catch up with our friends Nina and James was a lovely way to spend the evening.
