Monday 13th July

Woke to a steady drizzle which then turned into steady rain. We waited until noon when the rain stopped before setting off towards Wheelock.

Progress was good until it poured again. Moored about 3pm having only covered 2 miles and 10 locks.

The rain did clear and we used our DIY airier to dry the clothes ( whilst enjoying a G and T on the stern, along with bag of rubbish!)

The cows in the field opposite were all eating grass until one decided that the Indian take away and restaurant was more her style. First of all she attempted to eat the poster

Then got her head underneath

And finally was licking the flavour from the back!
