As we were filling with water just outside the basin 2 swans joined us. I thought that their reflections were rather nice.
Obviously there is a new technique to disposing of rubbish on this canal - hang it on the railings.
We passed the Ricoh stadium where Coventry City play and by bridge 8 there was an enormous Tesco Extra. I wonder if the men go to watch the match whilst the ladies shop!
Don't think that this concrete canal seat will be too comfortable.
This is the view of the M6 from underneath. so many stanchions for just one bridge.
And so to Hawkesbury junction again to make a sharp right then left turn, through the 6" stop lock and off onto the Oxford Canal.
We travelled until 2pm before settling down to watch the Tennis. The mooring was not ideal. A great deal of vegetation on the edge of the tow path which itself was very muddy. However we thought that we could move on after the tennis. Of course it went to 5 sets and we had some heavy rain during the last set. So here we are for the night. The sun came out again in the evening and the mist was rising over the canal. Tomorrow we head for Rugby.
